WiFi Technology Hurting Your Sperm Quality?
There has been a lot of conjecture about how laptops, which tend to get very hot on the lap due to their internal workings generating electrical heat (which can be helped by the fan inside, but only to a degree), can possibly hurt a man’s fertility by heating up his scrotum too much and damaging his sperm.
Now there is also talk that the mere fact that a laptop has WiFi capability, which is the ability to connect to an internet network wirelessly, may also have damaging effects on the male sperm count and the quality of the sperm the is manufactured in the testes.
Why would that be? Well, it sort of makes sense since there is also a lot of conjecture about WiFi actually being cancer causing when one’s body comes into frequent contact with the invisible radio waves. But how would it actually target sperm quality?
Well you see, this is not comforting so I’ll warn you, because it has implications for not only sperm, but also for all the cells of the body. The study showed that when sperm was subjected to wireless electromagnetic radiation, which is emitted when wireless signals are sent out there to search for a signal, they actually perished pretty quickly.
The sperm showed no signs of life after they were put in the path of electromagnetic waves generated by the WiFi laptop. This means that exposure to these waves can have damaging effects on the body’s cells and perhaps on the DNA as well. Not comforting at all considering these waves are flying around everywhere these days, not just in wireless cafes.
What does this mean for guys then? Well, it means that sitting on a laptop that has WiFi enabled may be cooking your sperm and you may not even know it. This perhaps can attribute to some of the cases of men “shooting blanks” who are trying to have a baby with their significant others.
If a guy is having problems conceiving with their partner, then this should be looked at and perhaps the use of wireless should be kept to a bare minimum.
