Viagra References Everywhere in TV
As I watched “Entourage” last time, I found it funny how I’ve increasingly noticed TV and movie references to the most popular, and original pioneer, sexual enhancement drug for men.
Viagra still is the epitome of the ultimate sex drug, overshadowing other less popular brands like Levitra and Cialis, all of which primarily work on the same mechanism in men that causes premature ejaculation and impotence.
The reference to Viagra in “Entourage” was with Jeremy Piven’s character Ari Gold, who’s a slimeball agent to the show’s main character Vincent Chase, the pretty boy actor.
Ari and his perpetually bickering wife were about to get it on when he just couldn’t help but answer the phone, she gets all mad, and he’s left with a full attention erection, saying “the stuff just kicked in, come on baby I’m ready”.
More notably, in movies, the remake of “The Pink Panther”, the stink bomb movie with Beyonce and Steve Martin, there was a Viagra (little blue pill) reference also. The Motion Picture Association actually took this into account when it was rated, if you can believe that!
