The Correlation Between Pot and Sexual Problems
There is some sort of correlation between men who smoke weed habitually and a higher incidence of sexual problems, according to new studies that point to this none too surprising link. The link is strong in men that smoke marijuana habitually, as in every day, too.
Men who smoke marijuana (that Sublime song “reefer” is coming to mind right now, I can’t help it in my juvenile mind), actually risk about four times more likelihood that they will suffer from one of the most frustrating of sexual problems of the penis, which is having trouble or taking too long to sexually climax, or orgasm.
I think we’ve all had moments like that, and we can all certainly relate to that happening once in a while, but can you imagine having a hard time every time when you have sex, climaxing? That would almost be torture.
But that’s not the only bad sexually related problem that has been closely linked to habitual marijuana smoking. Also, premature ejaculation has been closely linked to it as well, another frustrating, and also embarrassing (hey, at least when you take forever, your partner tends to think you’re pretty amazing in bed stamina-wise), when you can’t seem to finish the job for your partner’s sake.
Researchers think that this finding may be because men are self medicating to delay orgasm with pot, and it sometimes is having too good an effect (not being able to orgasm at all, not good), or it’s having the opposite effect, which is to make them pop to fast (premature ejaculation, or something like that, just not able to last beyond 30 seconds or so).
By the way, apparently Aussie men are the highest on the pot smoking chart. Apparently Australians like their weed. I’ve gotta admit, in my pot smoking days in college, I did think it made sex more fun, but that was back then, I haven’t tried it again in years, so I wonder if that still would hold true for me.
