An Overview Of Prostate and Prostatitis:

Prostate gland is a small gland surrounding the man’s bladder. It is a part of male reproductive system and is responsible for releasing prostate fluid which forms a part of semen. It also controls the flow of urine. This is one gland that continues to grow throughout the life of a man.

Prostate gland depends on male hormones called androgen’s in order to work properly. Prostate cancer is one of the main problems that is increasingly seen in men these days. Another problem is Prostatitis. It is a disorder where prostate gland swells and gets inflamed.

Prostatitis causes:
There are many factors that may cause the Prostate gland to swell and cause this problem. Here is are few prostatitis causes:

Lifestyle: Your lifestyle greatly influences the functionality of your body. Sitting for a number of hours without movement, consuming excess alcohol are few of the reasons that may cause prostate congestion and lead to this.

Sex Life: If you are having an abnormal sex life like, having sex too many times, masturbation, sex through rectum and more like these can cause this problem.

Urethral Catheter: If you have recently undergone some surgical procedure and was asked to live on catheter for a while, it may cause some bacterial infection which in turn could lead to this problem.  Urinary tract infections: Any bladder or urinary tract infections can also cause this problem.

Prostate: If you have stones related to prostate, excessive massaging of prostate, enlarged prostate, any of these things may lead to this disorder.
Other prostatitis causes: These may include sexually transmitted infections, cold, infection in other parts of the body, lymph vessel enlargement and other viral infections.
