POIS and It’s Devastation

Men are biologically programmed to enjoy sex immensely. They therefore, are also programmed to seek it out as often as they can get it, hence the “male proclivity” toward having a reputation as a horndog, put in laymens terms.

We think about sex more times than you can count on both hands in one day. Sure, that amount may go down as we age, but really we still think about sex even as we get older, we just think about it a little less as the days go on.

Can you imagine if, as a man, you literally got sick every time after you had an orgasm? Can you imagine throwing up, getting nauseous, or feeling like you have a sudden bad cold after you climax every time?  That would almost be akin to a sentence in prison, sexually.

Men who have these types of symptoms, as if they were suddenly very ill, after they have a sexual climax (orgasm) where they ejaculate, have something that has been termed POIS.  It is Post Orgasmic Illness Syndrome, and this mysterious illness actually affects more men than you might imagine.

Heck, you may suffer from it and just never knew why you felt ill after you had sex every time meant until now.  This type of disease, much like a female sexual disorder, can have severely detrimental effects on one’s psyche, and their attitude and healthy outlook on sex.

What researchers are just starting to figure out though, is that men with POIS may actually be allergic to their own semen, and this rare allergy may be what is causing their symptoms after they complete the sexual act.

Often times men with POIS will begin to avoid sex all together because they can’t stand the way it makes them feel ill. Because they feel embarrassed, or feel like they cannot share this information, it may even make it difficult for them to be in any type of meaningful or long term sexual relationship, which can make the psychological effects of the disorder even worse.

POIS can drive men into isolation if it is left untreated. They may totally avoid dating or having relationships because of it.  They may think that if they just ignore their sexual urges and avoid ejaculation at all costs, it will go away.

Actually, men who have POIS really need to seek medical advice. There are drugs and anti inflammatories and also anti allergy medications which may dramatically reduce the symptoms and provide permanent treatment for POIS.

They can also gradually get you accustomed to your semen by administering it in small doses, so your body eventually develops a tolerance against any allergy. So there are treatment options for POIS, you just have to seek them out.
