OTC Pain Relievers Linked to Low Sperm Quality
It seems like these days of pill popping, environmental pollution and poor diets and lifestyle habits have really threatened the sperm quality of men. This may also account for the increased stories of women having a hard time getting pregnant. While it is true that women also suffer from infertility, there are many men who contribute to the problem as well. It’s no longer just wearing tight jeans that may threaten the quality and count of your spermies!
Now, it has been found that analgesic over the counter (these can be subscribed too), have been linked to low sperm quality and undescended testicles. But it’s not in adult men after they’ve been living life for a while.
The damage apparently occurs in the womb, before they are born. In mothers who are carrying their boys and are taking combinations of analgesics, it was found that the babies they had actually had some sort of disorder that affected sperm quality, including undescended testicles, which can damage sperm quality because it holds the testes too close to the body, where they get too much heat exposure, and hence the sperm quality can be damaged.
For this reason, it is recommended that women restrict their analgesic intake during pregnancy. Yet another restriction that women have to deal with when pregnant, which I’m sure they’re thrilled about. It’s a good thing women have the babies, because honestly, as a guy myself, I wonder if guys could handle all the restrictions and the discomfort that goes with it! Heck, the human race might be in danger of extinction if it were us that had to bare children
