One GOOD Thing About Aging for Women
Hey everyone, it’s Jill here today with the lady’s perspective on things – you know, to keep things in balance around here and not make it so male-centric all the time! Anyway, I’ve been sort of moping about getting older lately, so I thought it would be good to write something very positive that I’ve noticed even about myself as I get older and am starting to get toward that “40″ range.
It is not just a cliche that the older women get, the more they enjoy sex. It’s actually true in many cases. It’s actually true for a number of reasons, not the least of which is that we get so much more comfortable in our sexuality and our bodies that it becomes more of an uninhibited experience.
This, in and of itself for women, is HUGE. One of the reasons we can’t let go in the sack a lot is because we’ve got a thousand other things going through our heads about what we’re doing right, what we’re doing wrong, how we feel for him, and how we look.
We think too much during sex instead of just giving into the pure primal nature of the act and letting ourselves get immersed in orgasmic pleasure. I know, it seems almost unattainable to many of us, especially the perfectionists of the bunch (myself included).
But the truth is, you have nature on your side as well as you age – so it’s not just a psychological thing, although admittedly female sexual pleasure is definitely based in this quite heavily as most women can attest.
There are also physical changes that occur in the body as we age. Women may naturally aquire more testosterone (with the decline of estrogen) as they age. Testosterone is the number one reason behind sex drive. It is the primary hormone behind horniness in other words.
This, coupled with the fact that many women find out more and more about what they like and what they don’t like sexually as they age, and they are not as afraid to explore it as they get older. They also may have been with a satisfying partner for a while and have ventured into fun, silly sex or other erotic fantasies that they previously may not have tried out.
Sure, comfort and familiarity can breed boredom – but it can also breed an adventurous spirit, which is great when you want to expand sexually and try new things and experience new depths of pleasure.
