More Herbal Sex Pills Contain Viagra
It seems like this problem crops up every now and then, where some herbal sexual enhancement pills for men are found to actually contain active ingredients that are found in prescription impotence and sexual enhancement drugs like Viagra and Cialis brand name drugs.
This time, the herbal supplement that fell under the government radar for being fake herbal pills was called Extenze. This particular supplement, which proved to be all herbal with no prescription, was found to contain the active ingredient that makes up Viagra, called sildenafil. This drug can cause increases in blood pressure in some men, and can have negative consequences on men who are taking certain other drugs, so it’s imperative that a man only take these types of drugs under a doctor’s care.
If a man doesn’t know that a supplement he thinks is all natural, actually contains a drug that could have negative health impact, then he is essentially putting his life in danger, whereas if he knows that it contains a drug, then he at least can use judgement.
The FDA has recommended that men who are taking these pills stop taking them, and they may pursue action against the company that makes them as well, that much was not totally clear.
The thing is, if people want to take a prescription drug, then they will get a prescription. You can’t sell people something that is actually made of prescription drugs when it is marketed as all natural or herbal. It’s called false advertising. In this case, it even goes a step further and potentially puts people’s health at risk by not letting them know what they are truly taking in to their bodies.
