Michael Douglas Becomes Cancer Patient
Hey guys, it’s Jill here. I wanted to talk to you about an actor that I used to have a mammoth crush on in my days before I even became a teen, actor Michael Douglas. I started crushing on him when I was enthralled with the Romancing the Stone movie he was in with Kathleen Turner a few decades ago. I used to watch it all the time since it showed on Showtime all of the time, one of the few premium channels we got at my house.
I thought he was so dashing and ruggedly handsome in this role, with his fedora hat on, and that swagger that was just all man. He has never seemed like a Hollywood softie, he’s always seemed like a real man to me, sort of like another hottie Jeff Bridges.
That’s why I was bummed when I heard that Michael Douglas, whom it’s hard to believe is 65 years old, was diagnosed with throat cancer. He and his beautiful family, including his gorgeous and talented wife Catherine Zeta Jones, will have to go through the ordeal of cancer treatment, which always results in fatigue, and that is hard on any family, no matter what your financial resources might be.
He is very optimistic that he will beat the throat cancer, and has a great attitude. Apparently he does have a pretty good chance to beat the cancer, so that’s great news. This is just a reminder to everyone to get second opinions and to make sure you go to the doctors when you are feeling discomfort, even if you think it may be nothing, better safe than sorry.
