FDA Warns Against “Man Up” Male Enhancement Supplement

The FDA has issued a warning on a “natural” male sexual enhancement product that is labeled as herbal and natural in origin, but in fact is not.

The supplement, called “Man Up” which advertises to have sexual enhancement properties for men looking to increase stamina and prevent premature ejaculation, has come under scrutiny for mislabeling.

Much like a few other male enhancement supplements that came under the gun last year for false advertising and actually containing prescription medications and derivatives of prescription medications, this one contains stuff it doesn’t disclose on the label.

Instead of being all natural as advertised, “Man Up” apparently had some of the main ingredient that is used in Viagra mixed in with other stuff.  Chemists actually tested the supplement and found this out.

This can be dangerous, although no men have actually reported complications from taking this supplement. Why can it be dangerous? Well, it can have certain undesirable and even potentially deadly outcomes if it is mixed with certain drugs, or taken by people who may have pre existing conditions.

It can lower the blood pressure to dangerous levels when mixed with certain drugs, for example.

The FDA has recommended that men immediately cease taking “Man Up” male sexual enhancement supplement.
