Do Dildos Contain Toxic Chemicals?

There has been a lot of talk about toxic chemicals, and the alarming rate at which we come into contact with them through seemingly harmless, every day products that we use in our daily life.  Many people were alarmed to learn that drinking out of plastic bottles can actually expose them to the toxic chemical that is a biproduct of certain types of plastic, called BPA.

Not only is BPA in many of the plastic bottles that we find ourselves drinking water from, but we also come into contact with it through canned fruits and veggies, toothpaste tubes, cosmetics containers, and even the receipts that we get at cash registers when we check out at any retail or grocery store.

You may be thinking, well touching it shouldn’t be as big a deal as actually imbibing it, but yes, it actually is. You see, anything that comes into contact with your skin actually absorbs very efficiently into your body and enters your blood stream, much like when you eat or drink something.

This is why people are increasingly concerned about the toxic chemicals that are on the things that we not only eat or drink every day, but are also in the things we touch every day.  We are literally being bombarded with high toxic loads, and our bodies are subjected to them and supposed to use their natural processes to eliminate them from the body.

But that doesn’t always happen.  Which brings me to the actual topic – dildos. Dildos, at least a lot of them out there today, actually use some sort of silicone component which contains this toxic BPA chemical.  Dildos and other sex toys made with this BPA chemical are dangerous because you are usually putting them inside your body, and putting them in contact with a sensitive, open membrane which can easily absorb the toxins on it.  Not a good thing at all!

So, try to look for sex toys and dildos that do not contain this dangerous chemical if you want to have your sex toys in your bedroom for some fun here and there.  Also, BPA has been linked with cancers as well as lowered sperm counts, so be mindful the seriousness with which you are dealing
