Circumcision Not Such a Protective Benefit Against AIDS?

The accepted train of thought on young boys being circumcised before they even have the ability to have any clear memories of it, when they are mere infants, is that circumcision is not only a medically sound way to help men protect their penile area from infection, and a more cleanly method for a man’s penis to be since if the foreskin area is not cleaned every day and thoroughly it can harbor bacteria, but it also has been thought to help protect men from getting the HIV virus which leads to AIDS from sexual contact.

However, those that don’t believe in circumcision may feel a bit vindicated by this little morsel of information, and that is that circumcision may not do squat in the way of protecting men from contracting the sexually transmitted disease AIDS.  This sharply contrasts with findings back in 2005 that said that circumcision should protect men from having a higher rate of AIDS infection, since it was thought that if the virus could nto be harbored in the foreskin, it may have less chance of entering the body and spreading.

So, which is it?  Well, we know that circumcision doesn’t increase the transmission of the AIDS virus, that just wouldn’t make sense, so it would be fairly safe to say the circumcision is the best way to go, both for hygiene as well as a possible additional protective shield against the AIDS virus when men have sexual contact with another individual.

Circumcision is where, in a sterile doctor’s office, the man’s foreskin is remove from the tip of his penis and sort of “peeled back”, to expose the tip of the penis more.  Men who have uncircumcised penises have a penis that looks sort of like an anteater, for lack of a better description.  Famous men with uncircumcised penises include Ewan McGregor (we think) and also Burt Lancaster, both of who posed nude or appeared nude in movies where their uncircumcised penises were exposed for all to see.

Additional care to keep your johnson clean must be taken though, since the skin folds over itself, and extra care must be taken to make sure it gets cleaned thoroughly “under the hood” and you don’t end up with any sort of infection.
