Omega 3 Fats and Erectile Dysfunction

Marine Lipid Omega 3 Supplement

We all know that omega 3 fatty acids and omega 3 dietary supplements are good for us by now. In fact, there isn’t a time that I don’t read about the newly discovered benefits of omega 3 fatty acids when I’m looking into that latest news in natural and herbal remedies for other things, not just ED.

However, like so many other supplements and foods that contain this nutrient, it not only benefits your heart and your circulation, your skin, your brain function, your mood and the list goes on and on, but it’s also excellent for men who have troubles with erectile dysfunction, otherwise of course known as ED as well.

If you think about it, it does make perfect sense that omega 3’s are great for men and their sexual function. If it benefits that heart and provides ease of blood flow and may also prevent strokes, that means that it is beneficial in keeping the blood thin and keeping it running smoothly throughout the body.

After all, what is an erection? It is blood flow to the penis. That is how a flacid penis gets hard, it’s chambers are filled or engorged with blood and it becomes erect, standing tall, at attention, and ready for some serious love making, right?

If your blood flow is restricted or your blood is thick or “sticky”, which is typical in people who are obese, have poor diets and choose to eat the wrong foods, then guess what, your penis is not going to fill as rapidly with blood, and you are either going to have a harder time getting a hard penis, or you may not get one at all.

Your body views getting erections as a secondary, unnecessary body function, whereas your heart and pumping blood throughout the body is a primary goal of the human body, and so of course, penises and their need to fill with blood to get an erection falls pretty low on the priority list when it comes to how the body is going to order that one.

So, look into omega 3 supplements if you haven’t already. They are a great way to get these nutrients into your diet if you’re not fond of the foods that naturally have them in abundance like oily fish such as tuna and salmon, or avocados, or almonds or other nuts or flax seed.

Shock Treatment for ED?

Yikes, I’ve heard of some slightly offputting treatments for ED, or erectile dysfunction, but I do believe that this one takes the cake. There was the one we talked about where fluid is literally injected into the penis directly which sounded to painful and uncomfortable to bear, but this one, which involves sending shock waves right into the ol’ dragon sounds way more painful to me, call me crazy.  In one of the latest schemes to help men overcome erectile dysfunction, that treatment is said to help basically shock the penis back into action by sending shocks to the penis directly.

The interesting part about this sock therapy for penis function is that it purportedly would not require any further or ongoing treatment like other ED drugs and treatments would, so that part is good, but it is still under development and being tested on animals, so I don’t quite think it’s ready to be tested on a real, live man yet personally. At least I hope not, I’d hate to be that test subject!

The doctors looking into this procedure say that because it is permanent, unlike drugs where ongoing treatment is involved and many times required, to have a man get an erection, as with Cialis and Viagra, this shock treatment would be more of a permanent solution because it essentially triggers the growth of new blood vessels in the penis and the chambers that are responsible for engorging the penis with blood flow, creating a full on erection that is ready to stand at salute and go for a long time with your sexual partner.

Since cardiovascular problems are associated with about 80% of improper blood flow to the penis in ED patients, this new therapy could mean a huge amount of men being successfully treated long term for the flow of blood to their penis – aka erections.

Obviously, when you are shooting shock waves into the penis, it’s a large concern, and more studies wound need to be conducted to conclude that there really was no risk in doing this since it is a fairly risky procedure as it is now.  However, when men have been tested with this treatment ( yeah, I guess real live men have been testing this out!), they said that it did not hurt, and about 15 out of 20 of the men improved in their ability to get and maintain a hard, lasting erection.  Not bad for a new therapy! More to come on this intriguing therapy, as I’m sure it will be getting more coverage as it comes closer to approval for use in men with ED.

Too Drunk to Get it Up?

Jill L here, your woman guest writer, to shake things up a little more here at the guy’s magazine, so we can also get a woman’s point of view on things, especially since this magazine talks so often about how to please women, how to attract women, and female sexual enhancement products, what better way to really get into a woman’s mind than read stuff that was written by one? Especially a slightly hip, and uninhibited one, like yours truly!?  Anyways, not to blow my own horn, or blow smoke up your proverbial a@%, so let’s get to talking about what this post is about this morning.

It’s something that men and women have experienced, directly or indirectly.  Unless you have never drank alcohol, then you know when I say “too drunk to get it up”, what that means.  And if you can do anything about it, we’ll explore that part of it too.  Ladies can actually have the problem of drinking too much and not being able to have sexual intercourse, but most of the time that is because we got so drunk we passed out or were unable to function or stop laughing or something like that.

With men, their penis has to be able to form a full, firm erection for them to be able to make love, and when you’ve had too much to drink, as much as you may want to have sex, and as much as you might think your wife, partner, or one night fling look hot and sexy and are ready to get down with you, you may be experience some, er, shall we say, technical difficulties that are the curse of the bottle?  So, what causes this, and how can you potentially help it and get back on the road to that hot roll in the hay with your partner that night?  Well, these tips aren’t always guaranteed, but they’re a start.

One of the things you can do is to kind of slap your penis on your hand. This helps to get the blood flowing, yes, in a totally utilitarian manner that doesn’t really ignite the desire, but it does it’s function in that it brings blood back into the penis in sort of a manual, albeit, unstimulating manner.  Another thing you can try is for your lover to do something really kinky.  Tell her what it is, don’t be shy, because whatever it is, you might just be shocked, and it might bring your penis back to full attention and then some.

You can have her gently tug on your testicles, which is something a lot of men find extremely pleasurable, or you can even have her gently suck on them, which is something I’ve found send men through the roof with sexual pleasure.

ED More Common Than You Think?

It’s no wonder the popularity of drugs like Cialis, Viagra and Levitra has skyrocketed over the past decade, when you consider how many men it is estimated suffer from ED, or erectile dysfunction. And then when you consider this may actually be a low ball estimate since a lot of men suffer in silence with this frustrating condition, it really comes as no surprise that so many men seek out both prescription sexual enhancement drugs and nonprescription, natural alternatives to things like Viagra and Cialis.

We are in a time of serious science that can help us with the most serious and bothersome of health problems and plain old annoying issues, so why not take the ultimate advantage of that, right?!

Men who are high on the ED risk scale are often a little older than men who typically do not (yet) have problems with ED, however there are always medical conditions that make exceptions to this rule, and there are certainly cases where men have temporary problems with erectile function, which is easily put back on track with medication or some other sort of erectile therapy that is designed to push more blood into the penis for an erection.

When surveyed, men with erectile dysfunction generally do not function as well in relationships, understandably so, and also report much lower satisfaction in orgasmic occurrences, and also overall sexual satisfaction. They also score lower on the self esteem scale, and often may have medical conditions of psychiatric conditions either that may lead to the ED, or may aggravate it, or may even be slightly caused by the condition itself.

Men tend to attach a lot of their self worth and self image to the performance of their penis, and although it may not be right, it’s definitely true, and can affect all aspects of a man’s life, not just his sex life, when it does not function properly, or in some cases, not at all.

Many men with ED still would try to initiate sex with their partners though, which came as a surprise since you would think they would lose hope and not even try for risk of embarrassment or disappointment, however, us men being the horny creatures that we are, we always gotta try. Kind of funny if you think about it, that we will try even when we may not be able to follow through on the deed. But this in itself is a good sign for those with ED, it means they haven’t given up hope or let if affect their initiation practices, so that’s a definite start in the right direction for getting past ED.

Man Suffers 2 Day Erection, is Awarded Nine Mil

In one of the largest awards to date for men having something go awry with their most prized treasure, a 53 year old man was awarded nine million bucks for his pain and suffering, and by the way, also permanent scarring, for treatment he underwent for erectile dysfunction.

Now brace yourself. You know what kind of treatment it was? It was one of those ones that makes every man shake in his boots, where a needle of medication is injected directly into the penis itself, so that the man may obtain and maintain an erection.  The stuff that’s actually injected is an opium related concoction that is supposed to increase blood flow.  I don’t care if you’re shooting pure gold into my penis, that is just plain scary getting anything put into your penis with a needle.

I have a hard enough time with shots and getting blood drawn, I think I would pass out at the sheer sight of a needle that I knew was intended to be injected right directly into the chambers of my beloved penis.  Yes, I called it beloved, so what!?  You know that’s what you’re thinking too!

And increase blood flow, it did, to the extreme for this poor guy.  He was given the shots originally in the office where he purchased them, and then he was supposedly taught how to administer them himself in the most delicate of delicate areas, at home.

He maintains that he was misled about the treatments, but the men’s health clinic maintains that he was properly taught. At any rate, he was in pain and discomfort for two whole days, and he also has some scarring involved as well, not mentioning the emotional scars I’m sure this traumatic experience included.

Priapism, which is the definition given to long lasting erection, is actually a known potential side effect of any erectile dysfunction drug, but this is extreme, and since he also endured the scarring, that probably accounts for his large award from the court. I’m willing to bet the medical company appeals though, so it may be reduced in the future.  What do you think his trauma is worth!?  Hard to say what kind of price tag to put on that kind of a scare, but I was a little surprised at the heftiness of the price tag.

So fellas, before you go out getting shots, please check out some other natural means of male enhancement, you see what happens when you start messing with things unnaturally like that!?

Want some Coffee with that Viagra?

Well, we’ve heard about a lot of so called herbal supplements for male enhancement being revealed as nothing more than thin diguises for prescription hidden drugs in the ingredient list (of course, not openly listed on the label, so of course this is a total no-no according to the FDA, which is more than right in their view on this), but now I think I’ve heard it all.  Of course I haven’t, and some other wild stories will pop up next week, I’m sure, but you know what I mean.

Multiple herbal formulas have been booted from the market over the past few years due to the fact that they contained prescription male enhancement and impotence drugs such as Viagra and Levitra, so it’s definitely lended itself to some doubts about the herbal industry, but a few bad apples shouldn’t spoil the bunch since most of them do play by the rules and only infused their formulas with herbs and natural ingredients, many of which mimic the effects of prescription drugs, just in a milder, and supposedly safer way.

Recently, in Maylasia, at least not in the United States, almost 1,000 boxes of coffee that authorities say are laced with the male impotence drug Viagra were taken away in a raid.  The coffee was sold as an energy enahncing drink and performance enhancer.  It was basically marketed as a booster for energy levels, with an added “benefit” for men, which slyly disguised what they were trying to say, but still got the message out that men may experience a side benefit of enhanced sexual performance if they were to imbibe the darkly roasted coffee laced with sildenafil, the active ingredient in Viagra.

The coffee was sold at a premium too.  It retailed for almost five times the price range of regular coffee without all the added stuff.  Wonder how they go caught?  Perhaps someone noticed that the stuff had other side effects and reported them.  You never know how these guys actually get caught, but most of the time I’m willing to bet it’s sort of by mistake, that someone experiences negative side effects and symptoms and it’s discovered accidentally that they have a drug they are not known to be taking in their system.  That’s just my take!

Free Viagra for the Unemployed?

The maker of the most popular (arguably) impotence and sexual dysfunction drug on the market, Viagra, has decided to really throw itself into this whole corporate goodwill thing with both feet.  Pfizer has made the announcement that since we are in a recession and jobless numbers are going way up and out of control, they have decided to start a program for those that have lost their jobs and their health insurance, to give them free prescriptions to several of their top selling drugs such as Lipitor, a drug that helps control cholesterol levels, and Viagra.  However, the only catch is that you must have been on them for the last three months at least before you lost your job.

I’m thinking the idea here from a business angle is that they are hoping they will retain all that business after the jobs start rolling in again, and when this recession is over, people will be so used to their drugs that they won’t want to go without, and will keep the prescription going with their new health plan when they have it again.  However, Pfizer has definitely scored in the goodwill category and this will generate some very positive PR for them over the next year or two, which goes a long way in the form of publicity and public relations that you can’t necessarily put a price on these days.

Pfizer made news recently also when it bought out another company. It’s stock price has been suffering, but this may be just the boost the business needs to get over certain negative publicity about their drug price control practices and cornering the market and things like that, which actually most drugmakers have to face since the pharmaceutical industry is sort of looked at as a necessary evil by a lot of people, especially with our increasing interest in natural and herbal medicine.  Herbal supplements for male enhancement have gained immensely in popularity, giving medications like Viagra, Cialis and Levitra a run for their money but certainly not totally devastating their market share by any means.

Relatively speaking, the male enhancement industry is a fairly new one, if you consider how long the erectile dysfunction problem has been present.  The first major drug was Viagra, and that was introduced about fifteen years ago now, which is not that far in the past if you think about it.  There are most likely leaps and bounds still to be made in this area of medicine, so it’ll be interesting to see what the next step in male sexual performance enhancement is.  Bet the ladies can’t wait!

What Happens to the Penis with Age?

Aging seems to be cruel in so many respects, not only when it comes to the things that age can do to our bodies (but to a much lesser extent if we take care of ourselves, admittedly), is nothing compared to what it does to most of us when it comes to our penises and the ability to have sustained, fulfilling and pleasurable sex without all the worry that goes along with premature ejaculation and the like.

So, what are some of the things that men have to “look forward to” when it comes to their penises?  Do we have a lifetime full of fun surprises in store, or might we be one of the lucky ones that happens to not have any of the typical issues that most men have as they age, and their penis does also.  Premature ejaculation and the inability to get or maintain an erection and stay in the flacid state are the two most common problems that there are for men with aging penises, and they are easily overcome these days with many different medications, take for instance two of the top sellers – Viagra, Cialis and Levitra.

Even cognitive therapy can be useful for men who have experienced impotence, but for whom no medications for erectile dysfunction (ED) have worked.  It is increasingly accepted that men suffer from psychological erectile dysfunction now as well, whereas in the past the typical school of thought on this was that men only suffered erectile dysfunction because of problems with their “plumbing”.

Other problems cited by aging men with their penis and hence their sex lives are (some say) shrinkage. Some men actually report that they think their penis has shrunken in size.  Certain things do shrink as we age, and certain thinks expand, but it’s usually due to weight gain, weight loss, and muscle gain and muscles mass loss, not anything having to do with the actual tissue composure of the penise.  Perhaps perception is that the penis has shrunken because a man does not get as hard as he used to or has trouble maintaining the hard, long and fat erections of his youth.

However, there is really no evidence that any actual real “shrinkage” takes place on the penis due to age.  Hence the immense popularity of penile enlargement products, penis enlargement exercises and the like, and instruments like penis extenders that are supposed to help gently guide the penis mechanically to a larger size and girth in it’s flacid state.

So, while we are experiencing all the physical joys of aging (yes I’m being facetious), we can know that age does bring one thing that is priceless and valuable, and that is wisdom, courage and fearlessness that come with the years we have under our belt.  I love how the older I get, the more I feel that I don’t care so much what every single person thinks of me, and instead I do what’s right for me, and what I feel is best for the people around me, I think that beats any sort of youth any day personally.

Men 70 & Over in Mexico City Get Free Impotence Drugs

Well, it might pay to live in Mexico City these days if you happen to be a man that is seventy years old or more.  Men of this age group are going to be getting access to free Viagra, Cialis and other impotence and sexual enhancement drugs from community elderly health care centers.  Officials say that sexual enhancement drugs are important to the city because sexuality is a huge addition to their way of life and adds a lot of spark to the latino community.

Funny, because high sexuality is a cliche mark of the Latino culture, and this just adds to that cliche – not that that’s a bad cliche to be known for!  Once men pass the age of fifty or so, they start to have more problems with impotence and premature ejaculation, which is a prime reason why prescriptions for drugs for impotence and sexual performance skyrocket past this age group.  The reason for the problem is usually that older men have more problems with circulation, and getting a hard on and maintaining one is all related to your blood flow.

Viagra and viagra alternatives work to get the blood circulating faster.  For this reason, they may also increase blood pressure while in use which is why men with known heart problems are cautioned to stay away from impotence drugs that work this way, since they may actually increase the heart rate too much and cause a heart attack in certain individuals with pre-existing circulatory and heart problems or heart disease that causes the heart to be more prone.

The important part of this Mexico City handout is safety, and it looks like they have that all taken care of, since all men who are eligible for the free products much undergo a physical assessment before they are allowed to take any drugs home with them.  It’s looking like over 100,000 men will be eligible based on demographic age number gathering so far, which is quite an order to fill, but there will be some happy older men once the program takes effect!

Frequency Key to Avoiding ED?

There may be a newly discovered weapon in your arsenal against ED, or erectile dysfunction, that men are most likely going to like, at least those that enjoy sex, but I think that’s just about every one of us, right?  There is new research being conducted overseas that strongly suggests something that really may seem like common sense to most men, and most women.  At least it makes sense to me.

The suggestion is that a man should have sex more than once a week to help maintain what he’s got, in other words, to avoid getting ED and suffering the problems associated with this fairly common ailment.  They found that in groups of men who had sex less than once a week, ED was much more prominent, and the men who had sex more than once a week or several times a week tended to not suffer with ED as much, by a very large statistical gap too.

Researchers say that one of the best ways to avoid ED is to actually make sure you’re using that appendage as much as you can, and then it won’t stop getting used to it, or suffer stage fright of sorts when you go to use it again.  It’s almost like if you look at it like working out and your fitness routine, it’s the same sort of mentality, that if you ever stop doing it, your body quickly becomes accustomed to this and will stop remember how.
