Ashley Madison Adultery Site Makes Traditionalists Cringe

If you haven’t heard of the adult website for married people who want to have sexual affairs with other married people called “Ashley Madison” you may not have been exposed to many of it’s radio spots that I’ve been hearing lately, as well as online ads and I’ve heard that there are even some print ads for this site as well.  It doesn’t really propose anything new, except for the fact that it, unlike some of it’s other competitors actually advertises its services in a blatant, devil may care way.

The radio ad spot that I kept hearing was pretty provocative, and actually made me kind of go, Whoah, that is pretty risque, even for the sexually out there ways of today’s society, with more openness about sex.  Heck, we even have a very graphic show on HBO called Real Sex that enjoys a lot of popularity by exploring people’s perversions, fantasies and sexual escapades in a very open way, sometimes a little too open when you see some of the “real” people getting down and dirty if you ask me.  It’s not exactly material that makes you feel sexy if you know what I mean – at least usually.

Ashley Madison advertises that it is a discrete way for a married man or woman to seek out and find another married man or woman to have an affair with.  It goes off of a membership-type basis, and people who sign up create profiles and pay for packages where they get credits, I don’t know if that means they get to check more profiles the more they pay, but there are more expensive packages that supposedly allow a guarantee that you will have an affair or you get your money back.

Many traditionalists have been vocal against this website, which they say promotes adultery in a blatant way.  However, I’d tend to think that they have the right to run their business, although I may personally find their ads distasteful and I am of the old fashioned opinion that if you’re not happy in your partnership, you should get out of it before you go having flings. Not only is it risky, but it does teeter on some moral compass for me I supposed.  However, I do know that people can go to a bar and have an affair very easily, just the same, this is just making it a little more discrete.
