Guys Need to Limit Egg Eating?
It’s no secret that while eggs can be a healthy source of pure protein, their yolks are laden with cholesterol, and the consumption of at least the egg yolk should be somewhat curbed to help promote heart and artery health since cholesterol noteably helps to clog the arteries and other various passageways for the blood to take, and can result in higher risks of stroke and heart disease, including potentially fatal heart attacks.
So, since men are a little more prone to these health issues than women (although unfortunately women are slowly gaining on men in this department, which isn’t good for anyone), men should particularly avoid consuming too many eggs doctors say. It doesn’t mean that men have to totally eliminate their egg intake, but they most definitely need to make sure they’re not eating too many.
Particularly, it was found that men in their middle age should try to avoid overconsumption of eggs because consuming seven or more eggs per week was associated with earlier death in men. I guess that means you could still eat an egg a day and be ok, which doesn’t sound so bad to me, but then again I’m not a huge egg eater, although I do occasionally enjoy a giant three egg omelette at our local Cracker Barrel on the weekends, which would put me almost at half my quota of eggs for the week.
While there are still some good nutritional facts about eggs being good for you, especially since the white of an egg is basically a very low calorie and fat free form of pure protein, you should be particularly careful of how many eggs you eat with yolk and all if you are a middle aged man. Hopefully you’re not too much of an egg lover, and that’ll be easy for you..
