Viagra Now For More Than ED?

Well, in a page from other recreational use drugs like the modern day painkillers, it seems that there is another use for the beloved male erectile dysfunction and male sexual enhancement drug extraordinaire, Viagra.  It seems that athletes have taken it upon themselves to take the drug Viagra, and maybe even some other viagra alternatives, to help increase their stamina and capacity for performance in sports.

While there is no direct evidence that Viagra can help enhance performance in athletes, there has been a study done on bikers, and they appaerntly could bike a lot further when they were on the male erectile drug Viagra.  We know that the way Viagra works is that it increases the blood flow in the body, which means that it also increases the blood flow the male penis, and actually is even being tested as a female sexual enhancement drug as well since it is thought to also increase the blood flow and sensation to the feminine sexual areas which increases the pleasure perception and response.

It would make sense that it could also enhance athletic performance, or at least be perceived to do so, because it is essentially enhancing the body’s ability to pump out more blood, which means more oxygen, which means that the capacity for oxygen and using it up becomes greater.  That’s all theoretical though, and of course experts are disagreeing that there is even any real, tangible benefit for athletes.

In fact, Viagra and similar drugs are being looked at for a possible ban in the sports world, if they can in fact boost performance and give competitors an unfair advantage similar to those that “dope” and those that are all natural.

Many States Opting Out of Abstinence Education

Well, it was only a matter of time before this happened and most states realized that abstinence education falls on (mostly) deaf ears, and that this type of education and self respect coaching really occurs as it should, at a child’s home.  At least that’s my belief and you can refute it if you’d like.  Many states now are refusing to shell out grant money for abstinence education.

Abstinenece education is really just programs that are designed to educate kids in their early years of the virtues of not getting into bed with anyone, aka not having sex until you’re ready and it means something, as in marriage for example.  Sure, this sort of education has moral and even religious undertones, but most parents would definitely like their kids to be on board with this sort of moral and self respectful value since there are so many risks of sex including pregnancy, sexually transmitted disease, and not to mention the psychological effects sex can have on people who are not yet mature enough to handle the repercussions and emotion strings.

The Bush administration was fairly big at offering federal grant money for these abstinence programs, but many states are pushing these offerings aside, because of the increasing skepticism that abstinence education even makes any difference at all in an adolescent’s decision making process and paradigms about premarital and early sexual activity.

Around 50 million bucks was actually budgeted for these programs this year alone, and you’d expect US states to be chomping at the bit to get their part of this, but most are convinced it does not do much good.  And most statistics do back this up.  Also, states, when they accept this grant money, have to also chip in a little of their own, reducing it’s appeal even further.

Some also feel that the teachings of abstaining are just too strict and are not realistic for today’s world, and instead should focus on first, choice, and second, on how to go about having the safest sex possible if you choose to do so in your teens.  Many states complained that the curriculum for these programs was just too strict and there wasn’t enough room for interpretation or state specific teachings to be worth it.  The whole abstinence program was started as part of a bid for welfare reform by the federal government and is now looking like it soon may be extinct.

Testicles No Longer, and Your Sex Life

What if, for some reason, most likely testicular cancer, you had to have one or both of your testicles removed?  You would think that may have some sort of impact on your sex life, especially seeing as how they manufacture sperm, you’d think that mother nature would have put the kibosh on the other facets of your sex life since you may technically no longer reproduce normally, which is supposedly the intent of nature’s instillment of a male libido in all of us.

Well, at least this is what I thought.  However, supposedly if you lose one testicle to cancer or some other reason, you should still be able to reproduce normally, one of the marvels of the human body.  However, this applies if you still have one healthy functioning testicle left, because the testicle should be able to produce enough healthy sperm that can reproduce and impregnate a woman, there are no guarantees if you do lose both testicles however.

What about the sex drive and the ability to have sexual relations though?  Can you still get an erection, will your penis still enlarge with the engorgement of blood like other normal men’s penises do when they get sexually aroused?  As far as that all goes, you should have no problems with getting an erection, maintaining it, and also coming to a full orgasm as well.  Men with one testicle may however have to come to terms with the fact that they are missing what many men consider part of their manhood, and some may have sexual issues or difficulties until they can come to terms with that, but that is psychologically related and has nothing to do with the physical fact that only one testicle remains on the body.

Counseling may be in order if a man feels that way, to help him come to grips with losing a testicle and prevent any sort of psychologically based erectile dysfunction that may arise.  Many men may be resistant to counseling about such a personal matter, but believe me, it pays to be open instead of suffering frustration and confusion alone.

What is a “Natural” Condom?

I read an interesting headline recently that something called a “natural condom” may help to stop the spread of the HIV virus.  Well, when natural comes to my mind I’m thinking maybe something made with lambskin or some other sort of natural material that is organic in nature, rather than latex, which does not allow any cells, no matter how small, to pass it’s barrier.  In other words, I think of a natural material that stops male ejaculate from going past a certain point and entering the vaginal quarters.

However, I was pretty far off in my assumption that a “natural condom” meant an actual condom-like contraption that is fitted on a man’s penis to prevent the spread of the virus, it’s actually a hormone that when administered offers a natural barrier within the body that stops the spread of the virus and therefore prevents infection if someone has slept with someone who has the virus without protection in the form of a condom, or if that protection was inadequate.

Apparently research is being done on estrogen in men and how it can block the virus from entering the male penis and therefore prevent infection of a man with the HIV virus.  Intersting, because I never knew that estrogen provided a sort of natural barrier against the virus.

However, the guys in the testing did not have to orally take the hormone estrogen to gain benefit.  What is was is that they applied the hormone estrogen to the penis topically and this apparently was enough to offer some sort of a level of protection against the HIV virus from entering the penile chambers.

More interesting is that estrogen does this by creating a natural barrier between outside viruses by making the skin on the penis thicker where it is applied, and therefore just makes the skin a bit of a better natural protectant against invading viruses.

This seems all well and good, but the study didn’t mention how often a man has to apply the estrogen to his penis, nor whether applying estrogen would have any side effects, since essentially anything that is applied to the skin generally absorbs into the blood stream and should cause some sort of interaction since it is a female hormone.  More to come on this one I’m sure – it’s interesting nonetheless.

Men, Belly Fat, Impotence, and Doctors

I recently read that men are really prone to not visiting the doctor when they should.  This is really no surprise, since the stereotype for men is that they have to practically get paid a lot of money to go see a doctor has been around for a long time.  Because of men’s tendencies to be doctor-shy and go into immediate denial when something may be wrong, doctors want men to pay attention to a few things that they may normally just shrug off as a “oh well, that’s life” thing and take it more seriously.  Their life may actually depend on them being more vigilant about getting to the doctors more often and taking their health into their own hands.

Two common health problems that may not even be connected in the mind as a health problem with men’s view of themselves, that can often signify either an existing or very probably likelihood of certain health issues are a big belly (lots of belly fat, the worst kind, whether you’re a man or a woman), and an issue that we like to talk about a lot here at Male Enhancement Mag because of our subject matter, and that is impotence.

Belly fat is a major problem, and is often an identifier as a huge area of risk for men for future heart problems.  The problem in men is that a lot of belly fat usually signifies a low level of testosterone, which sets men up for many health problems, the biggest being increased risk of heart disease and heart attack.  If you see your belly getting bigger, it’s time to crack down on the diet and get on the treadmill more often, because this can seriously increase your risk of dying at a much younger age than you were meant to if you were your ideal, healthy self.

As we talked about just a few weeks (or perhaps days) ago, impotence and other sexual dysfunction is another possible serious indicator that something else is amiss in your body.  Many times impotence indicates that the blood isn’t pumping like it should be and circulation is poor, which means you may be much more prone to stroke and heart attack, both of which stem from improper or inadequate blood flow.  So, even though these problems may seem fairly insignificant at first glance, what they really are is a potential indicator of bigger problems, so guys, get yourselves to you docs more often!

Is the Economy Affecting Your Sex Life?

Well, it may sound silly, but times of economic woes, such as the recession we’ve found ourselves smack dab in the middle of as of late, can definitely interfere with people’s sex drives.  Especially for those of us who have been directly affected by the recession and deepening economic problems that venture deeply into jobless rates, gas prices, and housing problems, bad economies, and hence horrible expenses at home, piled on with other financial pressure, has an effect on us in the bedroom.

You see, psychologically being pushed away from your libido is not just a woman’s problem.  It is also a man’s, and men who need help with libido are often looked at for more physical problems rather than mental, when the shift lately may be more to the mental side for men in trying economic times and times when money is important to keep up with the  new technology and other things technology has brought, and made life more expensive.

It’s amazing if you think about it, how much money a family needs just to stay afloat now compared to just a few decades ago, when women could more comfortably be stay at home mothers without having to worry about bringing home the bacon also (I know this sounds stereotypical of me, but believe me, it serves a purpose).

Heck, we just purchased a home together, and the strains it has put on us both emotionally and financially at times may be enough for one person to suffer a nervous breakdown.  And trust me, the last thing you feel like doing after a long and hard day’s work out in the yard or doing some other sort of strenuous housework has an effect on the male libido – it doesn’t matter what sex you are.

Economic hard times do come and go, and this is just cyclical, although it may be deeper than the brief recessions we’ve been accustomed to since the Great Depression, but we will rebound like we always do, so try not to let it put your sex life in the dumper for too long.  Money’s just not worth worrying yourself to death over.

Premature Ejaculation : Pairing External with Internal Help

There are so many men out there that are affected by a sexual dysfunction known as premature ejaculation.  Ejaculation, as you all know, is the release of a mixture of semenal fluid and sperm, and it’s more known for it’s pleasurable release feeling than it is for it’s baby making abilities in today’s sexually oriented society that loves to dwell on the sexual satisfaction part.

Problem is, there are a lot of men who have to deal with premature ejaculation, which is an embarrassing dysfunction of the sexual organ the penis, where the man comes way before his partner is most likely satisfied – say in a minute or less, and this is a real problem for some relationships, unless their idea of a satisfying sexual interlude equates to a minute of lust.

And, even worse is the fact that sometimes ejaculation comes before the man has even inserted his penis into the vagina.  Many men report this as being extremely embarrassing, so much so that it causes great emotional trauma and distress in the men it affects since sexual prowess and skill is a large part of most men’s egos as we all know too well!  Not only that, but orgasms that come too fast often don’t pack the same punch, if at all, as the orgasms that come after a more lengthy encounter.

This is why products like Prosolution pills and Deer antler plus help, because they help in the longevity and endurance department when it comes to having sexual relations.  They help to energize the body so that it is able to draw the experience out more, and sometimes a cream or gel may be in order that puts a bit of desensitization in the mix so that the penis is not so sensitive to the friction that occurs when sexual intercourse is taking place, or some other sexual movement that causes orgasm.

As far as external creams or gels, you can often purchase accompanying external product if you buy a supplement, and this externally helps to numb the area a bit – but don’t worry – it should wear off after appropriate timing is up, so that you still enjoy a powerful release when the time comes, but you’re not ejaculating before the proper amount of time has elapsed and your partner has had a satisfying experience as well.  So you see, a cream or gel combined with a supplement is usually a great win/win situation for both sexual partners. . .

Sex at Fault for Man Committing Double Murder?

There is a case out of Britain that has definitely stirred the tabloids and the papers for quite some time now, about a man named Neil Entwistle and the murder of his young daughter and his wife.  The prosecution claims that the man committed the ruthless and gory murder of his young daughter and his young wife because he was deeply in debt, and because he was unsatisfied with the married sex life he was having and was pursuing outside relationships for the sake of extra sexual relations.

Prosecutors say that Entwistle, a young father, whom everyone knew to be a loving father and husband was in fact drowning in debt from a rent he was paying at almost three grand a month and other expenses, and was looking for a way out of the marriage since he had extracurricular interests in sexual liaisons as well.

They further contend that his and his wife’s computer was found to have records showing searches for sexual escort services and other things of a sexual nature that would indicate he was trying to network to gain access to outside sexual relations with other women.  They say the gun that was used to kill his wife and poor young daughter was actually his wife’s father’s gun, which they say Neil stole from the inlaws house not too long before the murders, and that both his DNA were found on it as well as Rachel’s – his wife’s, adding more fuel to their argument that he committed these murders.

The defense of course, contends that he did not commit these murders, and that he actually came home to find his wife and daughter dead and lying next to eachother in their bed, and then was so emotionally distraught that he caught a plane, where he was arrested at an aiport and found to have newspaper clippings offering escort services.  Because that’s what grieving men do, right?  Look for escort services after their wife and child have been murdered?  Sounds like this guy needs to be put away for life….

Masturbation and Prostate Cancer

Well, gentlemen, there may be a very good reason to pay a visit to your favorite body part fairly often, and take things into your own hands, if you know what I mean…What I mean is masturbation may have an unexpected health benefit for you that you hadn’t yet thought of.  Yes, we all know that masturbation can be a wonderful stress reliever, and heck, because of that, who knows – it may even help fight heart disease and other stress related problems, but now there is strong evidence suggesting that masturbation – frequently – may help dramatically reduce your odds of getting prostate cancer.

Taking some prosolution pills and getting on with it may even be some of the most fun times you have with yourself, so why not make an event of it and get the most pleasure out of it that you can too?  As long as you are at pleasing yourself, that’s a supplement that can make for very intense experiences.  Of course, you could also save it for a real sexual encounter as well.

Great news, right?  In fact, it may help men who do the deed up to five times a week reduce their chances of getting prostate cancer by up to one third, which is absolutely statistically a staggering number if you ask me!  For those of you who aren’t having sex or masturbating very often, to the tune of several times a week, this may change your tune a bit when you realize the true health benefits of staying sexually satisfied, whether in your hands or in someone elses, so to speak.

Here’s the really cool, scientific part of all this cancer risk reducing info.  I guess that the prostate is part of the supplier to the liquid that comes out in male semen, and because masturbation cleanses out a lot of carcinogens in the process of ejaculation, the theory is that this is the reason frequent masturbation may dramatically reduce the risk of prostate cancer.  So, gentlemen, if you are a frequent masturbater, soldier on, and hopefully reap the health benefits of this all too pleasurable pass time!

Spring Love Is In the Air

Wow, you can really tell it’s spring time.  It’s just got that quality about it, where you can almost feel the sexual excitement in the air.  Even if you are in a happy relationship, you take on a whole new sensual self when the weather starts to warm, and it seems sometimes you want to tackle your partner because it’s in the air…literally you feel like love is in the air, and this is what we were all created for, and that we should be spending our time touching, feeling and exploring our partners, or for some, going out and looking for new partners if they are not attached.

Of course, then reality creeps into the picture, and the time factor sort of gets in the way of the exploring thing, or time constraints, kids, and other issues crop up that make us more inhibited sexually again, but alas, there is no denying that spring and warmer weather stirs something instinctual in all of us.  It is indeed the time when most mammals mate, so it is no coincidence that humans (yes, we’re mammals, remember?) feel a little frisky around this time of year as well.

It’s the time when, embarrassingly, you see lots of guys acting like idiots and hanging out of windows or slowing down to look at pretty women and yelling out, it’s a time of sexual freedom, and yes, even idiots explore it, just in a tacky, not so sophisticated way!  Although there are some guys out there that ruin it for the rest of us by acting it out, we can’t deny that summer does bring about the keenness more, in noticing women who are attractive.

It may be that clothes are a little bit sexier in the spring, including for men who tend to wear less clothes in the summer, but I still go back to that basic instinct that we all have of subconsciously wanting to mate when the weather gets warmer, of feeling the need to sexually express ourselves and bask in the excitement of raw unbridled sex.

Why do you think couples like to go tropical destinations in the winter for their vacations?  The warm weather, and yes the fact that they are on vacation enters in, but it is the warm weather that brings the “animal” out in all of us.
