Higher Testosterone May Lower Risk of Fatal Heart Attacks

Well, too much testosterone can be a bad thing, but it seems like lately in the news, not enough testosterone is really the reason for several medical conditions in men, including impotence, erectile dysfunction and other sexual issues that have resulted in huge popularity boosts for medical drugs like Viagra and Cialis as well has herbal male enhancement supplements like VigRX, and the ever popular and effective Prosolution pills

Now, researchers are saying that it appears that higher testosterone levels in men may actually save their lives, or prolong their lives, whichever way you want to slice it.  However, the British research facility that this news came out of cautions against jumping out to get that testosterone supplement or medical testosterone increasers quite yet, since the ties are only shown between natural testosterone levels (this means the naturally occurring testosterone, not introduced testosterone in to the body), and that the benefits and risks of testosterone introduction into the body are not well enough understood to make the risks and benefits apparent.

Not only did naturally higher levels of testosterone hormones in men prove to protect them against heart attacks, but it also may help to protect men against another scary health disaster, the stroke.  Strokes are when oxygen is temporarily deprived in the brain, and the victim “strokes out”.  Many times strokes have been linked to high blood pressure that goes untreated, as well as high cholesterol.  Yeah, that means those eggs and bacon you might be having for breakfast are increasing your risk for a health disaster!

More interstingly is that researchers noted that low testosterone levels seemed to correlate significantly with mortality (death) rates when it came to other scary disease like cancer, not to mention stroke and heart attack.  They are of course still studying why this is, but chances are there are too many individual factors in addition to testosterone levels that may determine or predict one’s mortality levels.
