Not only does Viagra act as a stimulant to make men get erections, or to have longer erections or help with erectile dysfunction, but new research is pointing to the fact that many men find the medical pill for erectile dysfunction and male sexual enhancement to also be an aphrodisiac of sorts, or an instrument which gets them in the mood.

So, they are thinking that because of this blockage of the enzyme, sildenafil is having an indirect effect on sexual intimacy by actually promoting more intimacy and cravings for intimacy - AKA aphrodisiac properties.  Scientists are thinking that since oxytocin has other relationships to human bonding and relationships, as well as the ability for humans to bond with one another and also to enhance certain body stress coping mechanisms, so there may actually be additional therapeutic medical benefits uses for sildenafil in the future.  And there you have it!
