Experimental Sex Lubricant May Protect Against STD’s
A new experimental-phase sex gel may be the ticket to helping prevent sexually transmitted diseases such as AIDS and other STD’s like gonorrhea, syphillis and other viral infectious diseases that are passed from partner to during sexual intercourse and also other types of sexual intimacy. The preliminary studies involving the sexual lubricant, tentatively named “Viva” indicate that the sexual lubricating gel can actually inactivate the herpes virus as well as the HIV virus, or the virus that causes full blown AIDS (Aquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome).
The gel has not yet been tested on humans (at least that’s what the article I read said, or did not make mention of human testing yet), but it has been demonstrated to inhibit these viruses in animal testing thus far. The way the sexual lubricant gel would work is that the man (this is supposed to only be said to work for heterosexual sexual intercourse for some reason), applies the lubricant to his penis before sexual intercourse, and this prevents the transmission of some STD’s because of the fact that it kills or inactivates the viruses that actually cause the STD before they enter the body through one of the most easily absorbed areas, the internal walls within the body, which can quickly and efficiently absorb many things, such as viruses.
Nothing was really metnioned on how this works as a natural male sexual enhancement (pleasure enhancer), but presumably it is made in such a way that it is actually a dual purpose lubricant and preventive medicine for STD’s.
The main ingredient in the lubricant is said to be something called dendrimer, which is said to bind to viruses and flush them away, or inactivated them. The main use of this product is supposed to be for nations like Africa, where the primary transmission of the rampant disease is said to be amongst heterosexuals, and this would work on them because it is specifically made for heterosexual use, and is supposed to only work for heterosexual intercourse.
This could be a truly great invention on someone’s part, if it can solve what has seemed for so long to be a hopeless tragedy that occurs over in Africa, where rape is out of control, and wive’s tales like the fact that men can get rid of AIDS by sleeping with a virgin lead to even worse rape and a more rampant spread of this deadly disease. Since expensive AIDS drugs are not available in Africa, most African’s end up dying a long, slow death from the disease, which takes hold of the immune system and wreaks havoc on the body’s functions when left untreated very easily.
It’s hard for us to imagine that here, where AIDS is no longer an instant death sentence, and although inhibiting drugs like AZT are expensive, they are readily available. But, unfortunately in third world countries they do not have this luxury nor do they have the luxury of top notch education to stop the spread, so at least this should be a lower cost alternative to prevent the widespread incidence of the disease over there.
