Testosterone Unbalanced for Obese Men and Women

I read an interesting story the other day about how testosterone levels are usually really out of balance for both obese men and obese women.  Testosterone imbalances can cause several problems for both men and women, depending on the severity of the imbalance.  They can cause hormonal problems for women, which may lead to things like period irregularity, acne and other hormonally related issues, and for men, they can cause sexual issues.

The problem comes in here.  Women who are obese usually have too much testosterone, and we all know this is not the main “female” hormone that a woman should have, but instead she should have more of the feminine hormone called estrogen than testosterone.  This can cause several female issues ranging from acne, irregular periods, irregular hair growth, and other problems commonly associated with hormonal imbalance.

The opposite occurs with men who are obese, they actually tend to be testosterone deficient, and exhibit problems associated with a testosterone deficiency.  Testosterone deficiencies, as we all know can cause sexual issues such as loss of libido, problems with premature ejaculation, and other impotence issues.
