Believe it or not, the orgasm, that thing that all of us cherish and put on such a pedestal in our minds, can actually cause certain sensitive individuals to have a banging headache (no pun intended - ehem).  Well, recently it was found that for these individuals who suffer from this relatively unusual malady (thank God for that), can benefit greatly from the use of migraine headache medicine. 

In the article I read about the orgasmic headache breakthrough, it did say that people who do suffer from severe headaches after they reach a sexual peak, or orgasm, should really consult with a specialist before they try to self diagnose, as this can actually signify a problem which can be much more serious than a simple orgasmic headache.

There are actually apparently two categories of sexually triggered headaches, and they include a pre-orgasmic headache, which is triggered simply by sexual arousal that occurs prior to sex, and a post orgasmic headache, the one that is actually triggered by the post coital orgasm itself.  Either one has been found to receive benefit from migraine medications, and the user experiences relief.

Apparently these orgasm headaches can last for hours and be very unpleasant, and this no doubt can become a serious issue and seriously affect someone sex life, man or woman, so it would obviously be a problem that should be checked out by your physician before you go trying to buy OTC migraine medicine to try to quell the headaches.
