Better Sexual Enhancement : The Race is On!

Sexual dysfunction affects a staggering amount of men, and an even more depressing amount of women, to the tune of high percentages you wouldn’t probably venture to guess.  Let’s put it this way, at least a few of your female friends suffer lack of libido or inability to achieve orgasm, and at least two of your male friends have some form of erectile dysfunction of low libido. 

This is precisely why the pharmaceutical industry, as well as the herbal male enhancement industry has made a bundle.  People are sexually frustrated, and they are looking for ways to put the fire back in their loins, darnit!  Of course, there are several lifestyle changes that need to be made, but many working men and women nowadays simply don’t feel they have the time and energy to devote to eating right, managing their stress effectively, and getting adequate exercise, so they would simply rather buy their sexual function back in a bottle so to speak if they can. 

And who can blame them?  There are some excellent remedies for sexual dysfunction, both in the natural male enhancement and female sexual  enhancement market, and in the pharmaceutical market.  The problem is, for women, there are not any real answers to their lack of libido and occasional lack of ability to orgasm.  Viagra apparently was a promising possibility in tests, but failed to be a real answer to women’s sexual woes, at least not nearly as effective as it could be on men. 

The race is on between pharmaceutical companies to see who can make the next big thing in sexual enhancement, especially for women, who  most feel could handsomely be profited from if an effective solution were thought of for a woman’s more complex sexual needs.  It should be interesting to see what they come up with.  Hopefully it will be extensively researched, as pharmaceutical sexual enhancement as opposed to natural male sexual enhancement can be a lot more potent, and along with that can also come health concerns, but we shall see!

So Your Sweat is a Turn on to Women?

Well, well, now aren’t you special then?  Well, ok, not really.  Actually, newer and more thorough research along the lines of pheromones attracting women research, is saying that there is more than just anecdotal proof that women are attracted to a guy’s sweaty scent. 

We’re not talking actual foul BO odor, but actually just that somewhat more gentle scent that occurs when a guy gets a little sweat on and the chemicals that are secreted in this sweat are actually proven to emit a certain pheromone, or hormone which changes the hormone levels in a woman’s body – the ones that make a woman feel sexually aroused and more energetic, to be specific. 

This is great research in the field of sexual attraction and pheromones, as their very existence and role in human sexual and man/woman attraction has been called into question before.  Not only that, this proves that hormones are actually secreted through bodily fluids, AND detected by the opposite sex, at least as in the case of heterosexual women being sexually turned on by men’s sweat (not to be bias, but this study was only done on hetero women being attracted to the distinct “scent”, not homosexual men or women). 

It’s very interesting, and just goes to show how pheromones attract women and also how hormones play more of a subliminal role in the game of cat and mouse between men and women than we previously may have suspected!

NYC Free Condoms Unveiled

The New York City condom plan has started to be implemented, started with the handing out of about 150,000 condoms on Valentines Day to anyone who needs them so they can have protected sex and contribute to the cleanup and prevention of AIDS and other potential sexually transmitted diseases. 

The city has begun partnering with the well known designer Kenneth Cole and will be handing out the condoms in trendy spots such as nightclubs and fitness spots, since the youth is usually the highest risk for engaging in risky sexual behavior, and condoms are an often tossed aside precaution in heat of the moment sex when people are younger and more passionate and think they are invincible (remember those days?)

The condoms are distributed not only to prevent unwanted pregnancy, but also to cut down on the spread and contraction of STD’s, and the city of New York, with its dense population seems like a good place to start, where they are planning on increasing the distribution of the free condoms from 2 1/2 billion to about 18 billion per year.  That’s an estimate of about 1 1/2 billion condoms per month. 

Archibishops and other religious advocates are not happy with New York’s decision to promote what they view as immoral premarital sex, and say that because the condoms are being distributed to men and women including minors, they say that abstinence and education and faith is the answer, not handing out condoms promoting premarital sex and carefree sexual encounters.  Mayor Michael bloomberg defends the condom decision saying that this is the way to prevent the spread of AIDS.  City officials plan to hand out a billion and a half condoms every single month! 

Rich Women Enjoy Sex More?

This was an interesting topic on the news recently, that rich women tend to enjoy sex more, and have a lot more “good” sex than women who are less financially fortunate.  Why might this be, or is there any truth to the story?  Well, some findings show that the more money you have, the more of an aphrodisiac you may have access to!  Does this mean these women are gold diggers who are ultimately turned on by the almighty buck, or are we saying that rich people and couples in general have a better sex life?  Is money the ultimate pheromone to attract women, or are we just looking at a skewed study?  Well, I think the study may be skewed, read on….. 

Well, to qualify that, people who have more money tend to have less stress about money and tend to be able to buy those things that many other couples cannot, such as romantic vacations, posh hotels and other things that might revv up the libido a little more.  I guess the specific study was on people who have a very high net worth – as in, in the millions.  This is a very small percentage of our population (ugh, don’t remind me, I know the wealth distribution here in the US is simply disgusting, but that’s for another, politically charged blog, not this one), but apparently they enjoy more than just busting-at-the-seems wallets.

The bottom line is that this “study” didn’t say who they were comparing the richest women in the world to (their sex life), whether they were comparing them to women of the average incomes range.  Many of those women reported that they had “good sex”, but how does this quantify the findings?  It also didn’t say whether the self made rich women were as satisfied, so is it saying the women are attracted to money who like to have good sex, or vice versa?  It sounds to me like it wasn’t a very well qualified study.  It also found that a lot of these women had outside affairs, so hey, let’s just ditch this study all together. 

Spraying Your Penis for Premature Ejaculation?

When I read this news about a new spray that men can use to help prevent premature ejaculation, a sexual dysfunction commonly known as the inability to maintain an erection for more than one minute, I thought maybe it was a joke, but it’s not.  Actually, you’ve all probably seen products in adult shops and online for natural male enhancement products that go on a man’s penis externally which propose to sort of “numb” the penis to sensation so that a man doesn’t get overly excited and shoot his load so to speak, too early.

Well, this new spray is actually classified as an anaesthetic, which makes me think personally of a spray that you would spray on your teeth or gums for gum pain – or remember that throat spray called Cloraseptic, that would instantly numb your throat, but only last a few minutes, and you’d have to use it over and over, probably too many times!  Well, maybe that’s just me….but that’s what it reminds me of -something that numbs sensation externally for a somewhat more prolonged sexual experience for the man and his partner. 

Men usually know that the longer they can actually perform the sex act, the more fulfilling the orgasm usually is, versus the one to two pump orgasm, which usually isn’t so gratifying due to either embarrassment or inadequate sexual arousal.  The men who used the spray, which is partly the popular anaesthetic lidocaine, actually lasted longer, so there may be something to it.  Apparently the penis spray has to be sprayed directly on to the penis about 15 minutes before sexual intercourse to be most effective.   

Prescription Free Viagra for Valentines Day?

Apparentlyh one successful British drugstore chain called “Boots” thinks that a great way to show their customer appreciation on the national “holiday of love” Valentines Day, is to offer Viagra, the immensely popular sexual enhancement drug for men, without a prescription for a trial period.  That doesn’t mean it’s free though, as customers still must pay, but it means much easier access for Viagra conneseurs or eager beavers who want to try the drug out and see how it works for them.

Reportedly there will be screening questions for men over a certain age, to avoid potential complications in older men, but younger men will just have to answer a few fairly basic health screening questions for their one time prescription-free Viagra pass.

This is a genius marketing ploy by the drug giant Pfizer to get new customers because after the initial prescription is gone, men must then get the scrip renewed by a doctor’s authorization to refill the drug if they like how it worked for them.  Viagra alternatives such as the immensely popular VigRX here in the US will have to do for men here who want a prescription free alternative in the US though, and that’s not necessarily a bad thing!  The British trial is expected to last around six months and may continue if it proves successful.

Testosterone Unbalanced for Obese Men and Women

I read an interesting story the other day about how testosterone levels are usually really out of balance for both obese men and obese women.  Testosterone imbalances can cause several problems for both men and women, depending on the severity of the imbalance.  They can cause hormonal problems for women, which may lead to things like period irregularity, acne and other hormonally related issues, and for men, they can cause sexual issues.

The problem comes in here.  Women who are obese usually have too much testosterone, and we all know this is not the main “female” hormone that a woman should have, but instead she should have more of the feminine hormone called estrogen than testosterone.  This can cause several female issues ranging from acne, irregular periods, irregular hair growth, and other problems commonly associated with hormonal imbalance.

What’s an Orgasmic Headache?

Pheromones to Attract Women Just Can’t Overcome Certain Mishaps..

A lot of men don’t really know “what makes a woman tick”.  For instance, lots of men think it might be perfectly acceptable to let a woman pay on their first or second date, or to not hold doors open for them, or to talk about their ex girl friend or wife incessantly, acting like a wounded animal on the first few dates.

Also, like I said earlier, pay for the first few dates. Lots of guys think women’s lib has made it ok to accidentally forget your wallet on the first date, but it really isn’t ok, and trust me, she will remember that forever.  It’s not to say that women are gold diggers, but they do like to see that you are self sufficient, and that you like her enough to shell out money to pay for her movie and dinner or whatever you happen to be doing with her on the date.
