Dapoxetine : The New Drug for Premature Ejaculation

There’s a new drug on the pharmaceutical male sexual enhancement circuit, and it’s not another one for impotence. This new pharmaceutical “prescription required” drug is called Dapoxetine, and it is designed specifically to treat a fairly common and embarrassing male condition : premature ejaculation.

This sexual condition is where a man cannot have prolonged sex, in other words, it’s usually categorized as sex that only lasts for less than a minute before a man ejaculates. It affects an estimated 25% to 40% of all men, although those specific statistics can never be 100% substantiated as being lower or higher, since it’s a difficult condition to determine, and the definition of it may vary per person.

The new drug actually works like several antidepressants that are on the market currently work, by what’s called an SSRI, a Selective Seratonin Reuptake Inhibitor, and specifically targets the dysfunction in the male reproductive system which directly causes a male to prematurely ejaculate.

Trials for the drug (not yet available to the public) are promising so far, with most men in the trial experiencing a definite delay in orgasm, which is the idea! More to come I’m sure - this’ll be a popular one if it makes it to market!
