Did you know that a staggering 50% - actually more like 60% of people in monogomous, long term relationships are afraid to ask their lovers for what they really want, and really need when it comes to their sexual relationship?
Most people say that it is either due to the fear of hurting the other partners feelings or making them feel inadequate, or quite simply, the fact that both partners have grown somewhat complacent and accepting of what their sexual life is like, and convinced that it will not change (or not caring if it does change).
You see, the problem with love - and I mean real, true, long lasting, marriage love - is that once you really fall in love with a person and want to genuinely stay with them for the rest of your life for all intents and purposes, you tend to let the sexual end of the relationship, well, shall we say, fall by the wayside a bit.
It’s not that you don’t occasionally fantasize about what you’d like your partner to do to you, or what you’d like them to do more often to your or for you, it’s just that mustering up the energy to actually do something about doesn’t seem like the first thing you want to do when you get home from that exhausting day at work, right?
Let’s face it, keeping it spicy in the bedroom takes energy, time and communication, and sometimes we’re just - well, we’re just plain old lazy. We grow to used to eachother and don’t pay attention to eachother’s changing needs, or need to keep things alive.
This is what sadly kills many sexual relationships, and also leads to the overall demise of many relationships all together. Take the time, take the energy, and I think you’ll be amazed at how much your partner is willing to do to please you in the sack.

I have TONS of friends, male and female who say they participate in dirty talking while they’re having sex, heavy petting, making out, or whatever words you want to use to describe getting intimate with a partner. Why does this turn so many people on? And why does it seem to “do it” for both men and women in the bedroom?
Well, for women, usually talking dirty allows them to let go of some of their “good girl” inhibitions and feel a little more like she did when she first met a guy. A little more daring, a little dirtier, and sexual.
Women like it because it makes them feel kinky and a little like they’re doing something “wrong” that may not necessarily by the society norm of having sex in the missionary position, with the only noises coming out of their mouths being moaning. In other words, it’s a departure for most women, unless you’re some sort of professional.
Men like it for many of the same reasons as women - namely the kink factor of talking dirty, but they also like it because men are much more visual creatures than women, and they are also much more turned on by the sounds they hear - in other words, they are turned on “audibly” as well as visually.
Men like it when they hear their partner’s voice telling them what they’re going to do to them, making them feel like a big, virile, sexual and powerful man. Or they may even like a little of the proverbial “degrading” talk where women take control and demand their partner do different sexual things to them.
One of the aspects of talking dirty that is overlooked is the aspect of open communication in a sexual sense. Many times, talking dirty is a little more acceptable and sexier than a person simply “commanding” you do certain things to sexually please them.
Somehow it all seems a lot more sexual and kinky when you “purr” the words or bark commands in an over the top, obviously role playing manner. Don’t know about you, but dirty talk works for me - it enhances the whole sexual experience!

Thought this might be of interest to some of you….Dave Navarro, that makeup wearing bastard! Apparently he may have already moved from his gorgeous wife #3, Carmen Electra, to equally stunning (that may be a matter of opinion) adult film star Jenna Jameson.
Jenna is married, but her marriage is reportedly about to end. She has been married to her husband, who is also a business partner named Jay for quite some time now, and just a few months ago there were reports she was trying to have a baby with him. Not so much any more it looks like.
This rumor started on the infamous gossip site Perez Hilton. Of course no one’s really sure if there’s an ounce of truth to it yet. Time will tell!

You’ve probably heard about the common wive’s tale that raw oysters serve as a male aphrodisiac and virility supporter. But is it really true? It’s not really possible to “scientifically” prove this one way or another, but there’s no denying that many men who eat them claim to get uncontrollable urges and desires for sex - and long, drawn out sex.
There may be chemicals in raw oysters that help to increase the male sex drive, but there also may be high amounts of minerals which are known to help men get and maintain an erection, which can account for the common wive’s tale that’s been carried over ever since I can remember.
Well, there’s now a warning against eating raw oysters that were harvested from the waters in the Pacific Northwest. The FDA itself has issued warnings about refraining from eating these specific oysters raw, after several people came down with severe gastrointestinal distress form eating them raw.
The FDA further stated that eating them cooked is ok, since the hot water kills the bacteria that has infected the oysters due to warmer Pacific Northwest ocean water for the summer, when the bacteria called Vibrio parahaemolyticus thrives.
Even if you are not sure where the oysters came from, the FDA is saying to make sure you thoroughly cook them to avoid any complications.

Some opponents of the increasingly sexually oriented lyrics in many rock, rap and R&B songs today have parents and organizations alike screaming for somewhat of a reform in the music industry to a more puritanical approach to lyrics.
Songs like “My Humps” by Black Eyed Peas, talking about female sexual satisfaction, “Bump ‘n Grind” (ok that’s an old one) by one of music’s more sexually charged muses, R. Kelly and other sexually charged songs are being blamed for spurring teenagers - boys and girls alike, into having sex at an earlier age.
A recent study shows that teens that pump their ipods full of sexy lyrics and sexually charged or raunchy songs are more likely to engage in earlier sexual activity than kids who do not listen to this type of music. Researchers say that it’s hard to get away from any kind of music - whether it be rock, rap or top 40 music, that contains some sort of sexual reference or sexy meanings, that are specifically aimed at attracting the teen audience, who is the biggest purchaser of downloaded music and CD’s.
Music today has a lot of lyrics that are actually either sexually explicit, or depict sex as a cool and fun thing to do, with little repurcussion socially or emotionally. Also, younger people are getting more interested in enhancing their sex life in ways that are far advanced of what you would think the typical teen would know.

HPV, of Human Papilloma Virus, which is the virus which causes genital warts, and more importantly the virus which can lead to cervical cancer in women, now has a vaccine which is supposed to protect women against getting this virus transmitted sexually.
Well now, doctors are recommending that men get the vaccination too. The new vaccine was just approved by the Food and Drug Administration in June, and will begin to be in circulation fairly soon for women, with recommendations being that men eventually routinely get the vaccination as well as an extra precaution.
The new vaccine protects against four types of the virus, which is most commonly known to cause human genital warts in its victims. It has only been approved for use on girls and women aged 9-26 so far, but will be recommended to go to men as well in the near future if all goes well.
The whole problem is that men can pass the virus on to their sexual partners, just spreading the risk to their female partners even more, but some groups are protesting the idea of making it a required vaccination, because of the sexual nature of the spread of the virus. Of course, these are probably conservative groups who are afraid that the vaccination is a license to sleep around.
Do they forget, there are a million other diseases people still need to be wary of when picking the caliber and quantity of sexual partners, or are they that dead set against protecting people - namely women from a potentially deadly virus? Especially such a prevalent virus which is estimated to infect (in different forms) about half of the sexually active adults in the US right now. Yeah, half! And some say that is even a conservative estimate…

In a first for the European nation, London will be Europe’s first host to what is being called a “Masturbate-a-thon” for raising public awareness for sexual health and AIDS. Similar charity events have been staged here in the US (yeah, for once the US is ahead of Europe in breaking sexual taboos), mostly in San Francisco and other liberal US cities, in order to raise awareness for similar public health and sexuality issues.
The event organizers were of course met with a lot of outrage and protest by local religious groups, but once the purpose of education and public health and safety was made apparent, most of those complaints subsided - to my surprise.
Events like this are really a forum to get people thinking about safe sex, talking about safe sex, and breaking some of the taboos around masturbation and self pleasure since it is actually a safe and celibate way to still explore yourself sexually, but only without risk of disease and other social and psychological implications of promiscuity.
The participants of the masturbatathon must be at least 18 years of age, and may bring any materials they need to be successful at their masturbation, but there is no touching of other participants, and no faking of orgasms allowed.
The amount of money you raise depends on how many minutes you masturbate for, and how many orgasms you achieve. Talk about pressure to perform!

I never knew this, but did you know that the condition of not being able to have an orgasm has a name for both men and women? The condition is called “anorgasmia”, and it affects more women than men of course. Women are just different creatures when it comes to achieving orgasm.
Women are only affected by a few external stimuli when they become sexually aroused, where as men are stimulated by several different external stimuli when they become sexually aroused, and then orgasm. Because women really need everything to be “just right” to orgasm, they experience difficulty in achieving orgasm and sustaining them much more often than men.
Not only that, women need to be stimulated for a longer period of time and more intensely than most men know when they’re in the sack. An example of how much easier it is for men to achieve orgasm is in this fact : even men with their prostate removed or part of it missing can still orgasm.
This goes to show the natural predisposition for men to experience orgasms more easily than women, and perhaps it is by design to make men more ready and able to procreate when necessary.
Like men, women can also be affected in their ability to orgasm if they are taking prescription antidepressants, or if they suffer from low testosterone levels. Once a woman is infused with more testosterone, or starts taking prescription medications like Cialis, which can bump testosterone up, they usually have an easier time reaching physical orgasm peaks.
Testosterone levels which are too low also can result in difficulties with initial sexual arousal, and most often testosterone treatments can also restore ability for sexual arousal to take place more easily.

Did you know that the healthy amount of salt that your body actually “needs” is only one teaspoon? Of course, you’re probably thinking to yourself right now “jeez, I probably consume way more than that in one day”.
When I say one teaspoon, I mean one teaspoon of salt in all the food you eat for the day, not just the amount you shake on your food after it’s all prepared and sitting on your plate waiting for you to inhale it.
This means that American men consume way too much salt. Consumption of excessive salt means that you are taking in too much sodium, which is linked to kidney and heart damage and health issues associated with other organs. Too much sodium means that your blood pressure can go up too high, which also means that can affect your mood, youf life span, and your overall health.
We as men need to make sure we take care of our hearts and kidneys, because men are especialy susceptible to disfunction in these types of organs to begin with - more so than women.
I do see that most men also tend to crave higher salt foods than women it seems, so we may already be genetically predisposed to crave salty foods, while women are genetically predisposed to crave sweets like chocolate.

Recent studies and surveys found that most teens do not use condoms when they have sex. This is obviously cause for concern, since STD (sexually transmitted diseases) are cause by sexual intercourse without protection, and sexual contact without condom protection.
Over half of the teenage boys surveyed said they do not use condoms when they engage in sexual acitivity, while the teen women said nearly 2/3 of them did not use condoms. Whichever is closer to the truth, the fact remains that these numbers are concerningly high and may be cause for major concerns down the line when STD’s reach epic proportions.
The study and suvey focused on sexually active teens, which for this study’s purpose focused on teens that had been sexually active within the last three months. Statistics have shown that out of this group of sexually active teens, 1 out of every 4 will contract and STD in any given year - which is actually quite disconcerting.
Many teenage girls felt that they were somewhat pressured into having sex too early, for fear their boyfriends would get mad or abandon them.
