Low Testosterone May Not Be Reason Behind Lacking Libido

New studies are starting to reverse some findings that we all took for granted as true and pretty much common sense conclusions.  Researchers are saying that yes, there is indeed a statistical link (numbers game) between higher testosterone levels and higher libido, but in fact men with lower testosterone levels may not always suffer low libido, and likewise, men with high testosterone are not just 24/7 horndogs.

In studies of over 1,600 men, over the course of two years, the team of scientists behind this latest “discover” (although I’d call it more of a hypothesis at this point), came to the conclusion that the overall libido of these men was significantly associated with their testosterone levels.

But, the difference in testosterone levels between participants with low libido and those with high libido was small and therefore “inconsequential”, and not always the cause of low libido, as was once commonly thought.

What does this all mean?  Well, if you ask me, this doesn’t really make it any easier to determine what’s causing a low sex drive.  It could, or could not be a reduction or deficiency in the testosterone hormone, so it would be advisable for men who are not sure, or are not experiencing other symptoms of low testosterone, to go get tested and see if they can be helped in a different way.
