Condom Memories

Remember that first time you tried to put a condom on? Was it hard, easy, or have you never worn one? I think every guy has some kind of story to tell about trouble with condoms. Condoms that are too big, too small, too slippery or complicated to figure out. I was just watching the movie “40 Year Old Virgin” which made me think about the utter awkwardness of rubbers.The scene where he is about to have his first real taste of sexual satisfaction with actress Catherine Keener, and can’t figure out how to get the condom on is hilarious. The part where he actually feels the slick part of the condom and tastes it (it’s spermacide, which tastes vile), and practically throws up from the flavor is great too.

HPV Vaccine Apparently Being Given Already

I posted about the new HPV vaccine just a little while ago, which is a vaccination currently only being given to women since they are most affected by certain strains of the virus that can lead to cervical cancer. I was under the impression the vaccine wasn’t being given out yet, but apparently it is.

Polygamist Arrested

A long time fugitive of the law, Warren Jeffs, was just arrested in Las Vegas during a routine traffic stop. His crime? A polygamist who formed a sect in the Mormon church and arranged the marriage between under age girls and horny old guys – who were not only pervs but also married already.One of his wives was pulled over in the car with him, as well as his brother. Talk about a family affair. It may be ok in other countries where men are allowed to engage in sexual activity with young girls who are not even of the age to make legal decisions, but it’s not ok here!

Morning After Birth Control Pill Still Being Reviewed

It’s looking like it might be the fast track approval process now for the new morning after pill (which mind you, has been used in Europe for years, due to a less stringent FDA-type approval process), which helps terminate an unwanted pregnancy, basically right at the start, before a fetus begins to gestate.

Vasectomy Recovery Time

Just thought I’d take the time to write about this, since most men probably don’t realize what an easy process the vasectomy is, well, pretty much that is.  Most men cringe when they hear the word vasectomy, because essentially, you get your penis and testicle area invaded, and men are not sure what level of discomfort they should expect. 

They often expect it to be a lot worse than it really  is.  Usually the first day there is a little discomfort, but the next day, you should already feel better. I believe you should lay flat as you can for most of the day still on that next day after the surgery, but some men report that they can move around easily without a ton of discomfort. 

So, guys, if your lady wants you to get clipped after she’s done having babies, it’s not such a bad thing as once thought!  Oh yeah, and it’s also reversible, if you decide you want to still have more kids after you’ve already had the operation.

Unexpected Sexy?

Do you have an unexpectedly sexy time with your loved one or spouse sometimes?  When I say “sexy time”, I mean those moments that are not traditionally sexy or wanton, like grocery shopping, or cooking dinner.  Somehow a lot of us have interludes or thoughts of sexual interludes when we’re doing the most unexpected things together. 

Take for example cooking dinner.  Cooking dinner together can be a great aphrodisiac, as long as neither of you gets in the others way or suddenly become Atila the Hun in the kitchen, bossing and barking orders (or maybe that’s your thing). 

Doing anything domestic and traditional together often unites couples in a bond where they just might be turned on by watching their women toss the pasta, or slice the garlic for the sauce, or watch their man steam the veggies or sautee the mushrooms. 

It does sound silly, but many couples do report they find their significant other irrestistable when they are doing the following usually mundane tasks together : Grocery shopping, cooking, working out together, going to dinner parties, clothes shopping, visiting the parents, and others ranked high on the affection and sex-sparking ometer for many couples, who’d been together for ranging periods of time.

Weather and Your Sex Drive

Most people believe that when the weather gets warmer, people’s sex drives gets better, and they’re crawling allover eachother suddenly.  This in fact is just the opposite for most people though. 

Although the introduction of warmer air – aka spring fever – usually tends to spark a higher libido in both men and women, hot, humid weather is a huge libido booster – usually more for men than women.  Spring fever, as it’s been coined, is a little different though. 

Spring fever occurs when the weather has just changed from cold to warm, and people tend to get out and about a lot more, which usually ignites slumbering passions and sexual feelings in people, while mid summer heat tends to zap it right out of them. 

Cold weather can be a libido booster or killer, depending on how cold it is.  Usually for the simple fact that no one wants to get naked because they’re so cold!

Same Sperm Donor’s Kids United Online

This is kind of an odd story.  6 mothers of children who were all fathered by the same sperm donor – named sperm donor 3066 (I guess this is really how they label these guys, huh), were recently united slightly by chance, if not be necessity when their mothers noticed some slight oddities about the children that were most likely hereditary, they began searching online. 

The six mothers all located eachother through a service called the Donor Sibling Registry, which is a service located out of Colorado which helps unite children who were fathered by the same sperm donor. 

The six children have varying disabilities, some of which may be tied directly to the fathering sperm of the children.  The mothers said had they known that he was not in excellent physical condition, or had disabilities, they probably would have gone with another sperm donor.

Many mothers and fathers visit the CO based website more often than not to find out any physical issues or personality issues a donor may have had if their children begin to exhibit problems which may be answered by the sperm donor’s medical or mental history, but many clinics and sperm banks will not disclose this information, so they are turned away the majority of the time. 

The women of the six children in this case have tried unsuccessully to gain access to the sperm donating man’s medical records and history, to see if they can help find out whether their children’s raging problems are indeed hereditary, which may help them understand their conditions better. 

But, to me, I do wonder if this information should stay confidential.  I mean, they are protecting the man’s right to privacy, but I guess it depends on the critical nature of the health issue.  To me, these children’s issues do not sound life threatening.     

Teen Sex : Make Up Your Mind!

Can these so called “survey takers” and “studies gurus” make up their darn minds? How many times have I gone back and forth, reporting that teen sex is on the rise….oh wait no, it’s foundering, oh wait no now more teens are choosing NOT to have sex early on.
