Personal Commentary on Viagra and Insurance Coverage

I found an article amusing that I came across online today. It was about the inequality (which I absolutely agree with) in the idea and the reality that Viagra and other impotence and sexual dysfunction drugs for men was readily covered and accepted under many popular insurance health plans, while the contraceptive pill for women (the pill - prevents pregnancy for women) was JUST recently covered by insurance companies - begrudgingly and with coaxing just a few short years ago. I think this says two things about the American culture:

1.) We place a LOT of importance on male sexuality - maybe too much - no wonder men feel pressured to perform - is this maybe part of the reason for impotence and premature ejaculation prevalence today? Hmm, just a thought…

2.) It’s still a man’s world.
