Anabolic Steroid Supplements Taken Off Market
I was just reading an article on how two supplements that were sold as dietary supplement were just warned by the FDA. Why? Because these “dietary supplements” which are supposed to be all natural actually contained anabolic steroids, which are considered dangerous and can be very damaging to organs and other bodily functions. The supplements were sold as body building and muscle building supplements with an emphasis on strength building as well.
The Two Anabolic Supplements in Question:
Anabolic Xtreme Superdrol
Manufactured for Anabolic Resources LLC of Gilbert, Ariz., and distributed by Supplements To Go of Cincinnati
Methyl-1-P M
Manufactured for Legal Gear of Brighton, Mich., and distributed by Affordable Supplements of Wichita, Kansas
The manufacturers seem to not be very responsive after repeat calls by the press (wonder why). Problems associate with the type of steroids found in these supplements according to the FDA are liver toxicity, testicular atrophy, male infertility, masculinization of women, breast augmentation in males, stunted growth in children, high cholesterol levels and potentially higher risks of heart attack and stroke.
