Nutmeg an Aphrodisiac? Who Knew?

I just read an interesting little fact about the spice often used for spicing up sweets like pumpkin pies and cookies called nutmeg.  How’d I come across this useless random little piece of information?  I’m actually going through a diet right now called the Fast Track One Day Detox Diet by Ann Louise Gittleman PhD.

What the diet consists of is a complete cleansing of you system, including your colon, liver and kidneys, and the title is a little misleading because it’s actually a total of twelve days you’re on the diet - seven day prequel leading up to a one day juice fast, then a three day “sequel” to seal in the results.

But I have to say honestly that I don’t mind the diet so far.  I feel much better, the organic food I have to buy just tastes “healthier” and I don’t feel like I’m just constantly pumping my body full of toxins any more.  And I’m already noticing a reduction in my abdominal (belly) fat, so it must be working.

Anyways, back to my original point.  Nutmeg, the spice is supposed to be an excellent aphrodisiac, so it looks like maybe you should take up cooking or something to get a little extra nookie from your lady…
