Wake Up - Rock Hard

So this one really is “Here nor There”, but nonetheless, I figured since this is my personal online log to say whatever the hell it is I want to say, I’d give it a whirl! I was listening to the radio this morning - a popular station here in the greater Cleveland area in Ohio called 100.7 WMMS, and their theme now is “Wake up - Rock Hard”. Now we all know that has an extreme double meaning.

Well, I guess that they put a billboard up and got in a little trouble from the conservatives, seeing how it is a total double entendre.

Really this little rant of mine is just about freedom of speech and how uptight everyone’s gotten since Janet Jackson’s nipple slip at the Super Bowl two years back.

It’s just crazy. Have we really gotten so worried about sexuality that we can’t even use it in humor? What’s this saying to our kids? Be ashamed of your sexuality? Sex and sexuality are dirty and should be shameful? Honestly, I think we’re moving in the wrong direction here..
